Very interesting indeed. One of the things I liked about this piece is that it shows, in many ways, Blacks are motivated by the same things that motivate people generally - looking for opportunity. Their decisions and their experiences are complicated because of race and racism, but such decisions are complicated for everyone and no one is likely to find the "mecca" they are looking for.
